Little Empty Boat (I)

You found me at some party
You thought I'd understand
You barreled over to me
With a drink in each hand
I respect your beliefs, girl,
And I consider you a friend,
But I've already been born once,
I don't wanna to be born again.

Your knowledge is impressive
And your argument is good
But I am the resurrection, babe,
And you're standing on my foot!

But my little boat is empty
It don't go
And my oar is broken
It don't row, row, row
But my little boat is empty
It don't go
And my oar is broken
It don't row

It's you

Oh dear sweet mama
I'm not feeling well
Can I step out
For a little while?

But I go missing
I steal away
And I go kissing
In the alleyway
All I want to do
And all I want to grow up to be
Is all caught up with you
Look what you're doing to me

Oh dearest young man
Teach me sweetheart
How to love you
I'm a clever girl
You've got me lying
You've got me leaving home
You've got me crying
When I'm alone

When I'm not with you my dreams are so very dark
When I'm not with you I dream of my hair falling out
When I'm not with you I walk dark tunnels of my heart
When I'm not with you everything comes apart

The Ghost Song

Awake.
Shake dreams from your hair
my pretty child, my sweet one.
Choose the day and choose the sign of your day
the day's divinity
First thing you see.

A vast radiant beach and cooled jeweled moon
Couples naked race down by it's quiet side
And we laugh like soft, mad children
Smug in the wooly cotton brains of infancy
The music and voices are all around us.

Choose they croon the Ancient Ones
the time has come again
choose now, they croon
beneath the moon
beside an ancient lake

Enter again the sweet forest
Enter the hot dream
Come with us
everything is broken up and dances.

Big Jumps

I walked all morning to lift my heart,
'Cause the world keeps dancing with the paperman.
I love you never talk in dreams,
But now it's here your happiness is real.

Oh make some big jumps, big jumps,
You're afraid to break some bones.
Come on make some big jumps, big jumps,
Life is yours alone.
You hold your head up, your head up high, like you think I do.

Sometimes I feel so confused,
I'm under the illusion that I have to choose.
I love you always know the way,
The way back home always is the same.

Without you I would never rise again.
Without you I would never rise.

Hey there sunshine lift my heart,
I know life is long but it goes so fast.
I love you never feeling old,
You never bought the rubbish that they sold.

Oh make some big jumps, big jumps,
You're afraid to break some bones.
Come on make some big jumps, big jumps,

Life is yours alone.

You hold your head up,
your head up high,
like you think I do.

I Melt With You

Moving forwards using all my breath
Making love to you was never second best
I saw the world crashing all around your face
Never really knowing it was always mesh and lace

I'll stop the world and melt with you
You've seen the difference and it's getting better all the time
There's nothing you and I won't do
I'll stop the world and melt with you

-You should know better-
Dream of better lives the kind which never hates
-You should see why-
Trapped in a state of imaginary grace
-You should know better-
I made a pilgrimage to save this human's race
-You should see why-
Never comprehending the race had long gone bye

I'll stop the world and melt with you
You've seen the difference and it's getting better all the time
There's nothing you and I won't do
I'll stop the world and melt with you

Strangers

 Can anybody see the light
Where the morn meets the dew and the tide rises

Did you realise,
no one can see inside your view

Did you realise,
for why this sight belongs to you

Just set aside your fears of life
Thru this sole desire

Done it warning
Done it now
This ain't real
On in this side

Did you realise,
no one can ever see inside you view

Did you realise,
forewhy this sight belongs to you

Window Shopping

My sister do you remember graduation

we don't need no education

is really occupation levitation

Window shopping your life away

you weren't born into poverty and living this way

you could be in Hollywood, you should be a model

or a mistress of a politician

but my sister you don't listen

Window shopping your life away

you weren't born into poverty and living this way

My sister ah you look a little faded

I know you'd call it jaded

unemployment's over-rated, over graded

My sister

don't ask God for money

he know's you couldn't handle money

so if you're ever gonna get it

go get it yourself

cause now you`re

Window shopping..

Undisclosed Recipients II

TAF presents the exhibition "Undisclosed Recipients" until 31 August 2011

The term Undisclosed Recipients is most often used in today's electronic communication in case someone wants to send a message via email to a number of unknown (unrevealed, secret) recipients.

On this occasion, we investigate the issue of the artist - artwork - viewer relationship and examine in what way the artwork becomes a communication tool, i.e. an 'intermediary', between the artist and the viewer.

If the viewer is necessary as final recipient of the creative process, how does he in turn perceive the work? How does he read it and in what way does he appropriate it?

This also brings forth the question of the relationship between the artist and his/her work. Does the artist ultimately take the viewer into consideration at the time of the production process? Are there any 'unknown - secret recipients' to whom the message he/she wants to convey is intended? Or even perhaps subconsciously during the 'artistic act', does the artist open a dialog with the viewer that lies within him?

This exhibition includes 23 upcoming artists who, although they seemingly appear to be somewhat heterogeneous in terms of their morphological and plastic elements, all try by their own means and through their own personal code to communicate with the public. The basic element that 'ties' these artists together and unites them under a common purpose is the structural need itself. The need to have their message reach its natural recipient.

Undisclosed Recipients I

TAF presents the exhibition "Undisclosed Recipients"  until 31 August 2011

The term Undisclosed Recipients is most often used in today's electronic communication in case someone wants to send a message via email to a number of secret recipients.

This is an increasing phenomenon mainly due to the development and progress of technology but also of communication tools.

On this occasion, we investigate the issue of the artist - artwork - viewer relationship and examine in what way the artwork becomes a communication tool

There is the frequent question whether the viewer is actually needed to justify his presence and to complete a work of art, or art is on its own an elite status that is only addressed to the few and insiders. In other words, whether the work is sufficient and autonomous even without being viewed by the general public

(to be continued in part II)

No tears for the creatures of the night

No tears for the creatures of the night
No tears

My eyes are dry

Goodbye

I feel so hollow
I just don't understand
Nothing's turned out like I
like I planned

My head's exploding
My mouth is dry
I can't help it if I've forgotten how to
cry

No tears for the creatures of the night

No tears

My eyes are dry

Stand Still

Can you swallow the food they bring?
Can you hear the bells ring?
You know there is a crack in everything
that's how the lie gets in

Stand still

'Cause there is no time

No time

No time for curtain calls

Heard you're moving to Babylon
I hope you're having fun
Run monkeys from skeletons
Here they come
Stand still

'Cause there is no time

No time

No time for curtain calls

Why don't you see me as you once did?
I'm still hanging around
My love tell me what you've found
I still have your jacket
And you still have my heart
My heart

Can you stick to the thoughts you have?
Are you still sad?
I'm sorry about the weather
A dog would have no better
Stand still

And then you rise

Rise

At The Stars

Oh wonderful one why are you like that
glow in the darkness that's how we do it
just like the stars upon your ceiling that
put you to sleep after

Oh wonderful one why are you like that
glow in the darkness that's how we do it
just like the stars upon your ceiling that
put you to sleep after

just like the stars upon your ceiling that
put you to sleep after

in the darkness of your room

in your room
hanging with your feet
here
we are apart

again
and again
that doesn't make sense

and in the end they ask you for your reply
don't you tell them what you found out
there is time
